At last count, the Royal’s power speed group produced 45 personal best performances this past weekend at the provincial club championships in Coquitlam. Special shout out to the multi-events crew, who – on average – PBed in over 50% of their events, almost all earning big PBs in their respective point totals. There were so, so, many highlights, too many to mention, but here are a few:
- Constance Ngo–Gaetz – Gold in 400 hurdles
- Harveer Nigah – Silver in decathlon
- Jaimee Louwerse – Bronze in heptathlon
- Pierce Vangarderen – Bronze in pole vault
- Logan Sutherland – Gold in pole vault
- Karman Bains – Silver in shot put, and bronze in hammer
- Cassius Armistead – Silver in 5k race walk
Our next goal is gearing up for the BC Summer Games and Legion Nationals.
We also want to wish athletes who are now moving on to university programs all the best. These three are all joining the track and field program at Trinity Western:
