Congratulations to Valley Royals Coach David Boyd on his gold medal performance in pole vault at the Canada Games in Winnipeg Manitoba on August 4th. Boyd represented Team BC, achieving his gold medal standing with a vault of 4.80m. Boyd is a student at Trinity Western University where he competes for the Spartan Track & Field Team. This season, in addition to his own training and competing, Boyd took on the role of Assistant Coach for the Power & Speed Group of the Valley Royals.
We acknowledge that we train on the traditional and unceded territory of the Stó:lo people, the Semá:th First Nation and Mathxwí First Nation. With this, we respect the longstanding relationships that Indigenous Nations have to this land, as they are the original caretakers.
