JD Cross Country Championships
- Congratulations to the JD athletes who competed at the Cross Country Championships in Nanaimo. Results are as follows:
- Tristan Steiger finished off the season well with a strong race in the 9 year old boys category, finishing 8th in a large field of over 40 runners. Tristan put in a consistent effort this season and showed vast improvements. Mark Molina ran a strong race in the 10 year old boys category, finishing 5th and was only 20 seconds behind the winner. Not far behind was Arie Wassenaar who ran an incredible race, finishing 7th in the 10 year old boys category. Arie has improved a lot this season and has had a strong finishing kick. Lockhart Macgregor had a solid race placing 7th in the 12 year old boys category. Teagan Scholander placed 15th in a strong field of 10 year old girls. Emily Downie had a great start to her race but unfortunately twisted her ankle and was unable to complete her race. While this is a disappointing end to the season for Emily, we are confident that she will perform very well in the upcoming track and field season.
